After last night’s IRC meeting, a few members of the Gfire community were asking to get rid of the SourceForge Gfire Forum and create a new phpbb forum.
Please tell us what you think, via out poll.

Update: Myself and luxus have decided to keep the forums where it is. It is already well established on SourceForge. It is well integrated into the bug tracker and feature request. However, please let us know how we can improve the forums. Please post your comments.
Also, the 32bit RPM for 0.7.1 is now out!

Some of you may have used or heard about the RPM installer for Gfire 0.7.1. There seems to be a fault with the installer which causes pidgin to crash, which only affects people which used the RPM installer.
If you are wanting to use the RPM installer for 0.7.1, either install using source code or use Gfire 0.7.0 RPM file.
However, Good News! Thanks to Aubi, he has created two new RPM installers for 0.7.1. The first one is a 32bit installer, but it still needs to be finished. The other is a 64bit installer, this is avaliable now!
If you are waiting for the Windows installer of 0.7.1, it is still not finished. Windows is not liking the new way we get the games list from the Gfire servers. If there is anyone who could make a Gfire installer, please email me.

After many months of wanting a wiki for Gfire, I have finally created one. Thanks to Spam for hosting and setting it up for me. The wiki will be an important part of Gfire for helping people with Gfire and it will be used for letting the community know who the development process is going with each release.
The wiki has information about Gfire, how to install it and how to install games lists. It has a section on development; with a page about the roadmap of Gfire and milestone for each release. I have also setup a page for users to put down features they want on Gfire. This page will be updated by the developers letting you know if we can do each feature. Finally section is about our topics; such as IRC meeting dates and logs and how to get games to work with Gfire (a very important section for alot of people!).
The link for the wiki is here. Anyone can edit the wiki and make it better for the community, so please do!
